Making the Best of It...

Hello everyone. Thursday was one of the "better days" I have had in a long bit.

(INSERT- I am not getting updated reading list for the blogs I follow. Is anyone else experiencing this?)

I started the day with some sunlight (my Vit D is low) and a yummy yogurt bowl. I am trying to eat cleaner.... YOU ALL I WILL NOT BE PERFECT AT ALL..... one little thing at a time. You will see below that I will not be perfect.

I figure I will try to make my breakfast the meal I will focus on for now. Per doctor suggestions I made this bowl.

It was a nice sunny day! I forgot how much I love to eat outside. It was such a nice treat to do this today.

I also got to take a slow walk around the yard to look at some of my flowers and beds. They are in need of much love this year, but it simply will not be the SEASON for me to do that. I will do the best I can and there are always other years (hopefully) to have the put together pretty landscaping. This will not be the year.

My grandmother loved Lantana. This is the first year I have bought it. I am excited to watch it grow.

After my outside time I was feeling a little winded and tired; mind you I had only been up maybe an hour. I am, however, trying to listen to my body and rest when it says so. I am listening to the whole Bible in 30 Days. After I listened to some chapters, I popped in blog land to check comments and visit some blogs.

Then it was time to get up and move a little. Due to the medications, I am on and the constant resting, preventing blood clots is a priority due to my medical history.

I found this nice simple 10-minute chair exercise video for Seniors. No, I am not a senior. I often giggle because I always do senior videos; I find them enjoyable and easier on the joints.

I really like this lady and here is the 10-minute video I did. Yes, it is easy and yes, it isn't going to change me physically, but I am doing it for circulation and light movement.

This lady has more than just chair workouts and has them for many different ages and levels. I highly recommend her videos.

I had this light little snack pack for lunch. I normally do not buy these types of things, but I need quick little things to grab right now. It was actually very good.

I have been trying to eat more whole foods lately. This was nice though. I enjoyed it.

I also paired it with some cucumbers sprinkled with nothing but the bagel seasoning. I love this time of year. I love tomatoes, cucumbers and fresh veggies and fruit.

HAH! I wrapped (literally) my day up with a moisture sheet mask. I will tell you this was super hard to put on and still couldn't get it to line up right. It did however feel super refreshing to my face.

So, as you can see, I am MAKING THE BEST of this RESTING thing. LOL! Eating better foods, refreshing mask, getting some sun and taking things light and easy.

Anyhoo.. Until Next Time,

Chrissy T

Chrissy, You are doing great! I love your approach to the challenges you are dealing with lately. Sunlight, rest, good food, and prayer. I love that Bible in 30 days! I will keep you in prayer, Tara

Sounds like you are doing well Chrissie - a positive outlook to all the issues you are having & eating well & moving. Remember to remind yourself how well you are doing despite everything.
Thank you for letting me know about my blog not showing up Chrissie - your posts are not updating to my Reading list either. I wanted to let you know I've left a question on the blog community page about this issue. Seems others are experiencing it also. If I can get any further info that might help I'll update you. Its hard enough without blogger having a mind of its own these days. xx

Thank you for letting me know!!!! Boo.... I do not like it. This happened a few years ago and I lost lots of readers because people thought I stopped. I try to make sure that if I don't see a blog that I normally posts weekly or biweekly I will go visit without the update reading list to make sure I haven't missed a post. I am glad it isn't just me but confused why it is going on. Hmmm.

Glad you are doing good Crissy. I love Lantana. It is an annual here and I try to purchase some yearly for my flower pots. Your dining room looks so wonderful and pretty in that one pic. Janice

I am glad you had a good day on Thursday. That breakfast looks great and how lovely to eat outside. The workout sounds good, at least you are moving and exercising a little.
hahaha! The photo of you with the face mask did make me chuckle.

I'm getting some updated reading lists but not my usual amount. Blogger has been acting real weird lately. Your foods look yummy. I love eating outside and it sounds like I might be able to put out patio furniture this weekend so I can start doing that soon... if our weather holds.

Hi Chrissy, I made a very detailed special post on my blog describing in great detail the technical issues in Blogger right now.
Hope this helps. 🙏

You are really working hard at doing things right/better, without actually working "hard". Rest is key right now, along with the good nutrition, sunshine and light exercise. So glad you are listening to your body and your doctor! Praying for you every day. Re: blogger issues, I have not yet experienced them, but someone said my blog was not showing up on their feed. So I don't know what is going on, but hopefully blogger will fix it. Meanwhile, don't worry, we're not going anywhere. Hang in there. God is with you!

I'm having the same problem with the updating of blogs.
I'm sure it will eventually right itself.
Any movement you do is better than nothing. I think its a great idea to do sitting down exercises if you cannot do anything else. At least it's something.

my own blog updates have not been showing up in my reading list. i have noticed many of the blogs i follow are not showing up!! i try to write everyday because writing and sharing my experiences makes me feel happy!! i have been seeing the exercise videos on instagram, i am a senior (66) but i have yet to do one. i probably should, i don't think i get enough exercise. cucs are one of my favorites, i love them with tomatoes and ranch or poppy seed dressing. nothing but the bagel seasoning goes on everything. i put it on so many foods and it is great on a bagel!!!

I'm glad you are taking it easy, and this fruit bowl looks simply Yummy. Looks like a nice sunny day to get some vitamin D. The lantana is such an unusually pretty flower. I had a blog friend who had a lantana bush, and the hummers always came around. I like those snack packs sometimes, especially the Oscar Meyer ones that the kids grew up with. Those cucumbers look really good with the seasoning. Take care, and I hope you feel better with each day.

I love that you're doing what you can do! I think that's great and you have a wonderful attitude. Also, I love chair exercise. I'm not technically a senior yet either - except according to Michael's crafts! haha!!

Hello dear Friend! I'm so glad that you are taking care of yourself and living life more slowly. I am trying to do healthier things as I age too. And I like a lot of those easier on the joints exercise vids too! I think you're just being very smart. Continued prayers for your time ahead and healing. 💗

**Oh, I forgot to mention, I am getting the titles of the list of my blog friends a little late too. Have you figured out why?

Like I said, I am behind...but seeing that you have not been well. Not sure all that you are dealing with but I said a prayer for you this afternoon. Praying your medicines and the other things you are doing will have you feeling 100 percent soon! Be patient with yourself!
