Hello everyone. This past week was a lot of reading, very short & slow strolls, researching and planning for my TBR (To Be Read) Summer Reading list. One book was delivered yesterday! I am so excited.
I also picked up some sweet roses to replace the flower bouquet that someone sent me two weeks ago. Those flowers were ready to be recycled (discarded). I found these roses on a clearance rack we have for flowers at our local grocer. I got this dozen for $4.50! They are still in great condition and smell fantastic.
I have taken a few short strolls this past week. My bloodwork came back this week, so I am still on "resting and light duty" and NO HIKES or LONG WALKS. Sigh!!!!!
It is pretty hot here now as well as humid. So, I have been taking evening strolls.
Getting my puzzle organized to complete for my Spring Bucket List puzzle. No new to me puzzle. I just chose from a stash I got last summer at a yard swap. It isn't really spring like overall. It will do though.
These are two of the current spiritual growth books I am reading. They are both super great so far. Actually, the Called to Thrive is a short devotional Booklet.
I am still hammering away with this Bible Study from Daily Grace Co. I started it when I went to the Tiny House on the Goat Farm in March. When I returned, I went to the doctor because I noticed how much I was having female issues and lack of energy on my hikes. I was truly not feeling myself. I just didn't know what was really going on. Then my life shifted. So, I shelved it for a bit. This is my Spring Bible Study I want to finish. I will share my thoughts on it when I complete it.
I am excited to share my fun "mocktail" or Spring Fun Drink I plan to make soon. I purchased all the ingredients yesterday. I had most of it. I may make them tomorrow for Derrick and I.
Blessings and Until Next Time,
Chrissy T

I've read the Lies Women Believe. I have always enjoyed Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuths books.
Hang in there. I know all this resting is hard. Thankfully we know God is in charge!
i like weeks like this!! fresh flowers really make a house a home!! i am not a reader but alway enjoy hearing about what other bloggers are reading!! i long you will be able to get back to your long walks soon, i know you enjoy them!! pretty images today!!
Gosh those roses are beautiful Chrissie - sort of vintagey looking. I am pleased you are getting some gentle walks in - your photos are stunning. I have been reading about how Hot it's been there - also in the UK I believe. Take care of yourself Chrissie. xx
It's looking lovely in your world. I'm so glad you found those pretty roses -- and a great price. Our Kroger does that too -- not all the flowers in the bouquet might be perfect but most are good and you get a lot of wear from them! Have a wonderful week.
Mocktails are all the rage right now. Look forward to see what you create. The humidity is perfect for us right now. I so enjoy being outside with our dog Tundra each day now. Janice
I loved your nature photos, Chrissy. They looked so peaceful and pretty. There's nothing like a bunch of roses, and what a pretty blush color they are. Jigsaw puzzles are very relaxing, and haven't put one together in such a long time. The mocktails will be a refreshing drink for you in the warm summer months. I wish you blessed June days, Chrissy.
Hi Chrissy! Thank you so much for your kind words on my blog. I just posted some thought on keeping my blog easy and simple, more day to day and less big events so I'll be posting more often. It feels so good to be back! Please please keep posting your books. I need ideas for the summer!!!! The pictures of your walks look so pretty! You are on my daily prayer list to be back to hiking/camping/long walks soon! Have a peaceful Sunday! Love, Tara ❤
Thank you for sharing such a sweet glimpse into your week. The roses are beautiful... I love how you are still noticing and enjoying the small gifts in this season, even while having to rest and take things slowly.
I’m sorry you’re still on light duty and not able to hike or take long walks right now. That must be frustrating, especially when you love being outdoors. I hope this coming week brings you continued strength, peace, and little moments of joy.
I think slow walks can be very good for the spirit. When I get walking sometimes it is all about getting in the milage and get home.
Beautiful roses.
Cathy
Resting is one of the hardest things to do. :)
Clearance roses? How fabulous! I wish our grocery store would start doing that. I'm glad you are able to stroll...I find walks to be so therapeutic. I just need the pollen to quit so I can get outside!
He is! I love her stuff.
Thank you, Debbie!! I appreciate your visits and comments and encouragement.
It really has been HOT!!!! Whew!!!! They do look vintage!!!

Hello Janice!!! I didn't know that about mocktails. LOL! Well, I am trending now! :) Whew... lucky you... our humidity is bad!
