A Slow Evening Stroll & I am not Alone~ Thankfulness

Hello everyone. This was my last picture I took today. It isn't perfect quality, but it was perfect to see in person on my slow walk this evening. The temperature was nice and light breeze! I ended my day with a SLOW STROLL. Thankful I can walk. Thankful for the beauty of the moon. Thankful for the breeze.

We put out our flag for Memorial Day coming up. A lot of homes do the same that surround our home. I love the image I captured as it was blowing in the wind!! Thankful for those that gave up, sacrificed and fought for a country they believed in.

Thankful for the salad bar at Whole Foods. I had to go to Whole Foods for a return for Amazon. This was the only place that would take my return because I didn't have the original package. It was a little drive, but it was a nice treat because I do not get to go to Whole Foods often. I will be honest as I sat and ate the salad looking out the patio and seeing the beauty of nature there was a sense of loneliness that came over. I think it is because I have been pretty isolated lately. It was strange feeling. I am thankful for these feelings because they remind me that I am not really lonely truly. It just a tough season. :)

I am extremely THANKFUL that the Lord showed me that I am not alone at all. I was surprised by a homecooked meal, bread and fresh mini muffins and a sweet conversation from a young new Christian lady in our church that wanted to bless our family.

I received a text from a friend that I hadn't heard from in a long time. I am thankful.

How thankful I am that God showed me that I am not alone. He sees. Others see.

With Love,

Chrissy

What a lovely reflection, Chrissy!
I enjoyed how you shared the little joys of your walk, the flag for Memorial Day, and the kindness of friends.
A gentle reminder that even in quiet moments, we’re never truly alone 💛.

I'm glad you were able to get out for a little walk. That's a blessing.
I need to get flags out for Memorial Day too. We line our front walk with the little ones.
Love that someone brought you a meal!

The walk sounds lovely and how wonderful to see the flags when you are out and about. How sweet that you were given a home cooked meal and the muffins. You are not alone and that is great to read.

So thankful that you were able to get out for a little stroll and enjoyed the moon. Yes, your flag looks so pretty. I can see the lights shining through it. Our flag represents so much. We put ours out every day, unless it is raining or so windy that it just about rips it. But it's a little ceremony I love to do every day at sunrise, and take it back in at sunset. I am very proud and thankful to be an American, and yes, we cannot begin to be thankful enough for the sacrifices so many have made so that we can live in freedom. Oh, your salad looks so good! And how wonderful that a friend brought you some delicious dinner! That is truly a gift from God! You are never alone. The Father is always with you. Amen.

Hello friend. I think I am behind in posts and have missed something. I am going to read and try and catch up just now, but I am happy that you got the reminder that you are not alone. What a sweet blessing. People do not bring meals too often around here anymore. That is sad. Enjoy your blessing and think about it often.

Hello, my friend. This is a beautiful, insightful post. I think we all feel that way once in a while, and you sharing is helpful. How wonderful you were gifted a meal from someone. I tell my children that when someone's name passes your heart, God is telling you to reach out in some way. Hugs!

I love that idea of putting it out and taking it back in daily!

Thank you Jennifer. Yes, I notice a great deal decline in the so-called meal trains for people. I try to do it (lead by example over the years) in our church family to teach the importance of it and now I am on the other side of it and it really is nice and helpful.

I am pretty isolated myself so I know what you're feeling, but it sounds like people really showed up for you. Praise God!

What a lovely (and unique) post. I love the way you included your thankfulness in each picture.
I especially enjoyed how God met your need for the feeling of loneliness that you were experiencing. He never fails to amaze me with His grace.
