Hello everyone! I know I have a LOADED post title. PLEASE, hang in here with me as I am adjusting to working part time. I am off Saturday, so I hope to have a good cup of warm drink and catch up visiting you all. I miss visiting your blogs daily. At this time, I am doing good to post. It has been a big adjustment working. I also don't feel super well physically still so to say this has been an ADJUSTMENT is an understatement. This is all a trial period as well. If in a few weeks I discover I can't pull this all off, then I will make a decision about how many days I will work.
Anyway,
Wednesday I got up at 4 a.m. and took our daughter to the airport for her to go knock another national park off her list. Yellowstone!!!!!!!!! To say I am envious is an understatement.
Off she goes very very early to Montana! Well, she is there now! Living her best life! LOL!
I had to settle with a Dunkin Donut Coffee and some hiking time with our youngest. Which was AWESOME too!!
After I dropped them off and grabbed a frozen coffee I headed home for some sleep. Later in the day my youngest (young as in he is almost 19) and I went on a hike at a state park close by and had some Mexican for lunch. It was a nice time with him. He works a lot of hours and had an off day in the middle of the week. He works rotating 12-hour shifts on river boats and barges.
It was nice day. High 70's was the temp! Beautiful time. I got home just in time to rest and head to church.
Today was a working day. It was a long tiring day to be honest. Hannah sent us some pictures of her trip so far. She has been skeet shooting, hiking, trout fishing and living it up in Yellowstone.
Hannah is in the middle (Our daughter) and her boyfriend as well as her childhood friend since BIRTH, Amariah which is a twin.
I was so ready to go! LOL!! It was fun but my feet are not used to standing for hours straight like that.
This is all such a big adjustment. While I do sort of like getting out of the house, I feel a tad overwhelmed to be honest. I am not use to so much busyness. I know it will be just for a season. I think it is good for me to get out and help a friend in need by working and being a help for their business. I have just been having a lot of BIG and some HARD changes recently.
You all don't give up on me! :)
Please, still come by and visit! Know that I WILL VISIT YOU SOON TOO!!!!
With love,
Chrissy T

I enjoyed seeing your beautiful kids! A hike with your son is such a blessing.
I think I need to make chicken spaghetti now, it sounds so good.
Working is a huge adjustment, I hope you get some rest!
I am sure you will get used to working soon, it sounds busy!
How wonderful for your daughter to be visiting Yellowstone and to spend some time with your youngest.
Working is definitely an adjustment. I give you a lot of credit for posting so much. I can barely get one post out a week lately and I'm behind with reading, too! So you're way ahead of me!! I hope you get a chance to relax this weekend!!
That hike looks beautiful! It sounds like your daughter is having a great time in Montana.
Oh, those kids hiking in the mountains/snow...wow! What an adventure! And you hiking in the greenery of Mississippi with your son...another great adventure! Now, for the work you are doing, I commend you for wanting to help out a friend, etc., And perhaps it is a good exercise for you for now...but pace yourself. Don't burn the candle at both ends...make sure you are taking care of yourself. I did not know about the anemia. I'm glad you are addressing it, but again, allow your body some time to rest and heal and don't overdo it, especially as it gets hotter. Just a word from an older woman who has been there and done that and paid the price...you have to take care of YOU first. May God give you strength for each new day, and wisdom to know what is best for you in all things. Amen.
Goodness but your plate is full....and I thought you had it full before. I hope you get into a routine. One that works for you and your family...and that your health does not wobble. A huge adjustment for sure. Your blog friends will be here...and saying an extra prayer for you!! Blessings to you-
A very busy day!!! What a great place to hike.
Wonderful photos of your children out enjoying themselves Chrissie. If they came to New Zealand they would definitely be in snow!!! It takes quite sometime to adjust to working again after a break & even longer if you are on your feet all day long. I don't think I could manage that without a sit down. Take care Chrissie. xx
What an experience Hannah is having. So nice you were able to hike with your son. We sometimes make chicken spaghetti in our crock pot. Those fajitas look yummy! Janice
You have a lot on your plate right now — no wonder it feels overwhelming. Take it one day at a time. I’m glad you’re still sharing, love your photos. 🤍
I am so impressed that you are keeping up with your blog as you adjust to working... it is a lot, I know! So happy for your daughter living her best life! And so glad you were able to get a beautiful hike in with your son. It looks lovely where you hiked. Hope you feel better soon! Have a lovely weekend Chrissy!
It really is, Mari! Whew!!! That spaghetti was wonderful
It is busy! She had a wonderful time.
Thank you friend. :)
She had a wonderful. :)
Thank you so much for the encouragement. I am pacing myself better after today. I had a little talk with Jesus about some things and I decided to make some decisions and say no to some things. :)
Thank you Jennifer for the prayers!!!
It was lovely!
Thank you Julie!
Oh, I need to try chicken spaghetti in the crockpot!
Thank you Aritha!
Thanks Tara!
Going back to work can be hard, especially on the feet. I used to work in retail and good footwear was a must and the shoes had to be changed out so frequently too!
