Hello everyone!! Today's photo challenge is CALM! I knew immediately that I would take this picture today. Because during this season and truly all my seasons of life being in the presence of the Lord and in His Word always bring me a calmness!! MY PHOTO FROM TODAY THAT REPRESENTS CALM IS BELOW.....
I am going through all my digtial photos while I am in recovery to start completing my photo books. I thought this would be a good time to clean up my photos on my phone. I have been using Amazon Photos for extra storage for years. Each year I usually get on and download all my phone photos to the storage and then I will go back and clean up the ones I don't need. I will make photo books or prints for the year. I am behind two years so this is a great time to catch up.
With that being said as I was going through photos for 2026 and 2025, I decided to share photos of things that also BRING CALMNESS to my soul or makes me remember how calm I was in that moment that I took the photo!!
In no particular order here are things that always brings me calmness. From Sunsets, family time, church moments, gazing out at overlooks on mountain tops, hiking trails, kayaking, eating outdoors, waterfalls, sitting by creeks, forest walks, walking through gardens, sitting by campfires, and sitting on a beach watching and listening to the waves.... here we go.
What brings you a sense of CALM? Share!!!

I loved all of the pictures of things that bring you calmness, Chrissy...especially the family photo.
Oh church for sure, quiet early mornings with my journal/Bible/Devotional/, a hot cup of tea, worship music, remembering to breathe and actually thinking about my breath, a long evening walk...
What a wonderful photos! They really are calming!
Those last few are my favorites. Water and the beach always make me feel calm.
You covered calm extremely well. Beautiful photos.
Beautiful selection of photos, (Visiting from Mary's blog.)
Photo a Day looks like a fun challenge I'd love to participate in next month. When does the list of words get posted?
I'm also recovering from surgery, and what gave me a sense of calm during my two ER visits that led up to the surgery was knowing that God is in control and that Jesus is right there walking through whatever I face with me, and I'm never alone.
This is such a calming post all in itself, Chrissy! I love that you are doing photo books with all your pictures! I need to do that too, I am so far behind on it all. I love each and every one of the beautiful pictures you shared - truly the Lord has poured out so many blessings on us in rich and unmeasurable ways - just in His creation alone! Not to mention all the other things He does for us! What a wonderful God He is! Love this post, very encouraging!!
Hello Chrissie - I am playing Catch Up as I've been away. Loving your photo challenge posts but your Calm photos are just so special. Lots of things bring me calm but I do love being at Home in the quiet with a nice candle going, perhaps some relaxing music playing - it seems to calm me in all the madness. I hope your Recovery is going well. Take care Chrissie. xx
Thank you so much!
