Enjoying the Flow of My Week

Hello! I have had a good week this week. It has been long time needed. I have tackled some projects that were overdue. I have enjoyed reading. I have soaked up some sun, connected with others outside the home, caught up with a longtime friend by phone (it has been a long time) and enjoyed cooking some soups. I have been enjoying some blog reading. It has been a nice balance of productivity and slow enjoying moments too. Enjoying the flow this week.

I ventured outside today to feed the birds! I love birds. They bring me so much joy! I have this app that is free that I enjoy. I use it all the time to identify bird sounds.

I tackled the "office cabinet" which I really call the "bill cabinet" Haha! I do not have an office in our home. Well, I was going to, but our young adults keep coming back home. :)
I am a Pastor's wife and also the church secretary. So, I do all the bookkeeping and paperwork. So, I have this little cabinet that looks pretty and fits perfect in my dining room to hide it acts as an office cabinet.
This little basked I have had for 20 years!!!!!! I love having an organized spot to store current mail and paperwork. Keeps me organized and from piles!

After working on the cabinet and going through supplies, 2025 papers, cleaning out last year information and working on bills and church records; I took a nice refreshing walk. It was actually a lot colder than I anticipated due to the wind. BUT it was refreshing!!

LOOK AT THIS LEAF??? Isn't it just fantastic???? It was HUGE!

I came back home and set a timer and enjoyed reading two of my books for a little bit and resting. It has been a nice week, but I needed a tad bit of rest. I try hard to listen to my body!!!

Today, is busy. I have church to do's, a lunch with a girl I am mentoring, then a meeting this evening. So, I am glad I had a little slower paced yesterday!

I have enjoyed recapping my days here on my blog. I don't know if it is even of interest to anyone. :) But I am just going to keep blogging! :)

With Love,

Chrissy T

That leaf is huge, and it's pretty! So is the sunshine.
I know you felt good at going through that paperwork. It seems to build up quickly and I bet it really comes quickly when you add in church stuff.

I love that little cabinet you have to store your church and home records. That looks really neat and it's nice that you can have it right there at your fingertips in your dining room when you want to work on the "books". Sometimes when we don't have a designated office it is good to come up with camouflaged systems that work for us. I have some similar things in my little room with a view where my computer is. It kind of is my office, but it's also the room where my china closet(s) and Hoosier Cupboard and Doll house is, since we really don't have a real dining room but just a designated space connected to the living room/great room, and there's no wall space in that area for these big dining room pieces. Do you live in a Parsonage, or do you have your own home? When we were in the ministry we had both scenarios at one time or another. We were blessed with really nice parsonages, better than anything we could afford on our own, but when we needed to find our own house God always provided a way for us to find something suitable as well. We are very thankful for those years, but also very thankful to be retired now and in our own home hopefully for the 'duration'. I enjoyed you sharing your days and activities. I love that today you are mentoring a girl and having lunch with her. That is a very wonderful part of ministry, and I am certain that young lady appreciates having a Pastor's Wife who truly cares about her. May God bless you in your efforts to help encourage her. Have a lovely day. Thank you again for taking the time to share with us. I will be praying for you.

It sounds like you have had a good week. I have been keeping on top of feeding the birds in my garden and good job with organising your office cabinet. Oh wow! That leaf! It is huge!

Nature always recharges my batteries too. And glad you're listening to your body and resting when you need to. Have a cabinet and basket for organization is so smart! I think keeping things organized like that prevents so much frustration. That leaf was gorgeous (& gigantic!) Blessings Chrissy. xo

Pamela,
We own our home. We have never had a parsonage. I am thankful either way though. Yes, I love being able to make things beautiful but also have a hidden function!!!

That was one huge leaf. I have to re-organize my guest room in a few weeks to add my desk in. I want to move it from our living room...so not sure yet how this will work. Janice

I've enjoyed visiting your blog. It takes me back to what blogs were like back in the early days of blogging. I sometimes miss those days even though we can do so much more with our blogs these days.

Stacy, I hear you! I have had a lot of people tell me I blog like the older days. I kind of liked it better and so I try to keep it that way. I am so thankful for all the modern things we can do. But truly, I just want it to be a journal, memory keeper, and a place to connect with like minded souls. I could add advice, tips, and recipes but man there is million voices out there. I just decided to keep it like the old blogging days. For now! :) Thanks for popping in!
