January Reading Recap (2026)

Hello friends. I wanted to share the books I read this month! I log my books I read on Goodreads. I set a challenge every year and I have met my goal for years. I keep my challenge pretty low and I usually read more than I set my challenge goal for but I try to not put a ton of pressure on myself if I don't go over. I would rather set it lower than to too high. Here are my January reads........

Ratings for each book are 1-5

1- Terrible

2-I could have spent my time better

3- Survived the read. Not bad and not great.

4- Good

5- AWESOME

The Dutch House- 3 (Part of a book challenge I had to read. Survived it. It was okay)

An Irish Bookshop Murder- 4 (Part of a book challenge I had to read. Good but some things I would have rather it not been in the book. But the plot and the twist was good)

Death By The Book- 4- (Part of a book challenge I had to read. Good but some things I would have rather it not been in the book. But the plot and the twist was good)

Elizabeth- Dealing with Disappointment- 4 (I enjoyed this)

Amazed: 30 Days of Growing in Awe of God- 5 (I LOVED THIS and Highly Recommend)

Did you read any good books this month?

With Love,

Chrissy T

Look, I can relate on the music. I am a lover of music. It is amazing. I can hear a song one time and feel like I remember every word after that. :)

I loved your honest reviews, Chrissy! I have read books with amazing plots and writing as well with scenes I would have rather not read. I appreciate you sharing that info. Great job on your January reads! Blessings to you!
