Tuesday Tea~ SPRINGSATION! (Spring Inspiration)

Hello Beautiful Friends. Here in the deep south, it's been in the 60's-70's during the day but mid 30's-40's at night. I am itching for a PROPER Hike Day. It has been rainy and wet here so.... I will hike in rain and mud, but I would not choose that for myself if I can choose better.

SINCE...On Tuesdays I usually post all things TEA related I thought I would post some inspiration for us LOVERS of TEA, CHINA PATTERNS, TEA POTS, FLOWERS, and GARDENING!
Spring Inspiration you shall say~~~

NOW....this would be a fun, easy and cheap project almost anyone could do!!!!!

                                                                     Oh, so true!!!!!

I hope you all have a lovely Tuesday! Make time today to grab you a beautiful cup or mug and pour you a nice drink and enjoy 5 minutes of this day!!!

Sunday's Family Dinner ~ Valentines Style

Hello friends. I know...I know, Valentines has left as quickly as it came. But for my memories I want to post about our family lunch after church. All our young adult kids along with some of their boyfriends and girlfriends joined us.

We had homemade Lasagna that I made early before church. Clayton (Hannah's boyfriend) made the bread. He is our Bread Connoisseur. I also had corn, salad with fried bacon and yummy toppings. I made a strawberry cake that was so delicious. I will share the recipe below.

I hope you all have a wonderful start of your week....

Strawberry Sheet Cake Recipe is found here and was so wonderful and delish!

Valentine Brunch & Walk

We had a lovely day, Saturday! The temperature was fantastic. It was cloudy, though. My hubby brought me home chocolate for Valentines Friday evening. We sat on the porch and relaxed while chatting! It was a lovely evening. I worked on some diamond painting and finished a National Park Coaster I have been working on.

All done! I love it. I have a whole set of different National Parks. Our youngest son's girlfriend gifted me them for Christmas. :)

We went to a cafe for brunch for Valentines. I had a weird sandwich. It was good but different. :) Derrick (my hubby) had chicken and waffles.

We then walked next door to an one room art museum of Wyatt Walters. He has beautiful watercolor art.

Two of my favorites.

We went back home and then changed clothes and drove to a park in a neighboring town and walked along the reservoir. It was lovely! I can't wait to come back and kayak this water in the summer.

We got back home and rested a bit and then I began to make our strawberry cake for our Family Valentines Lunch for after church Sunday! I set up the table and cooked the beef for the lasagna and prepped what I could to make my morning easier. I have to cook up our food before church, so it is ready when we get home. We had a lovely day!

I hope you all have had a good weekend!!! Blessings!

Valentine Decor & Glassware Decluttering

Happy Friday Friends! I am so thankful to be feeling a little better. I have been so yuck all week. Thursday, I seen a new horizon! Thank the Lord!

I kept myself slow paced because I am still not 100 and kind of "sicky" still but I could not lay in bed any longer mentally or physically. My sciatica was killing me! So, I did a lot of pacing!!! I would putter a tad and sit down and relax a while and then get back up for a minute and putter and sit back down. It was how the day went....

Just a little pop of Valentine Love here and there. I don't go all out anymore. I also like a lot of more neutral colors with a pop of color here and there.

Two of my favorite magazines in this picture above! Yes, I still do get a good ole true magazine. I love Tea Time and the Victoria Magazine. I get the subscriptions as a gift from my mom on my birthday.

I love how the little stuffed hearts turned out in my glass lantern on the center of my coffee table.

I just added some more little stuffed hearts to this kneading bowl for our dining room table for a festive touch. We will have Sunday dinner with a Valentines theme for the young adult kiddos.

Now let's head to the little spot in the kitchen I decluttered! It had just become a mess.

We are gifted A LOT of mugs in the ministry! A LOT!! I simply cannot house all of them. I am not showing nowhere all of them. Because I had already had to remove some.

I also had to purchase some new glassware because ours was just a mess and old. I got these glasses on the bottom shelf from Ikea. I GOT THESE LAST FEBRUARY!!!! I forgot about them and tucked them away and then remembered them!!!! Yes, that is a shame. But IT IS WHAT IT IS!
I got sick when I got back from getting them and then stuck them in a closet and forgot about them forging on with the old and tattered ones.

Boxed up and put in the car for drop off tomorrow at the thrift store.

All finished. It is nothing fancy, but it is orderly and has our favorite mugs. I paired down our mugs to the ones we always love and grab for each person. I put a few seasonal ones up at the top of the cabinet that we recently got as gifts.

Yes, I actually "had" pretty matching cups and mugs BUT we never used them. The handles were awkward so I thought we should only keep those favorite cups and mugs.

These two right here are my husbands and my favorite cups. We will use these over any of the others.
The Seagrove one is mine and the Nasa one is his!

I am glad to have this cabinet done. I worked a little here and there as I rested.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend!!!!

When you are sick....

Hello friends!! I have been dealing with food poisoning or a stomach bug. I have been under the weather for a few days. All my plans for this week came to a crashing halt.

I had to throw a little humor in this post!!!

Are you a homebody? I am on the most part! I love to be at home although I do love a good hike, walk or outdoor time and a few trips here and there along with some lunch or coffee days out BUT on the most part I do love to be at home.

I have been stuck in the bed or close to the "home" for particular reasons :) (you are spared the reason) for most of this week I have been enjoying reading blogs, Pinterest scrolling and reading when I am not feeling too sick to my stomach. I am not watching YouTube or any type of movies or shows until April 1st. This has been a tad challenging during this time. As it is always easier to put on a cozy show and sleep on and off when you are sick.

Here are a few fun things I have come across to "kill" the time while getting better. Some of the things have made me excited about spring!

What a neat idea!!! Image off Pinterest.

Ever heard of Birdscaping?? I haven't and as I LOVER of ALL THINGS BIRDS, I plan to use some of these ideas from this article! How to Birdscape a Small Yard! Check it out! Also, another quick article here!

Here is a neat Idea!!! This looks so easy and cheap to do! I need some for our back patio!! I would put mosquito repellent candles in mine. It is planting pots! Genius! Check below!

Although.... Food has not been at the top of my list to think about I am searching for our Valentine Dessert Idea.

Oh.... and I love all things Lemon! My mom and I love lemon stuff. But our husbands and other family do not! So, when we get together alone, we often eat lemon things or gift each other lemon things.

This looks neat...

A slow cooker Lemon Cake!!! Full instructions here!! I sent this to my mom as well.

I have been going down a lot of rabbit holes in the last few days! I also looked at some outfit ideas for the spring. I like to use what I have already or thrift things. I get inspiration on Pinterest how to change up what I already own.

I would not consider this a wedding guest outfit BUT I do love the flow of this comfy and feminine look of this outfit. I already own some similar things I might can make this outfit!!!

                                                                       Pinterest

This is so classy!!! I have a similar white skirt and a light denim button up top! So, this would be a cute twist of those two things for the spring/summer. I need a belt though!!!

I will leave you with this!! I love milk glass. I used to collect years ago. Isn't this table centerpiece lovely for spring/Easter??
