Nighty Night and Good Morning from the Tiny Home on a Goat Farm

Hello! Yep, this is me in a loft that I had to climb up into to sleep. Very interesting and tight to say the least. But reasonable comfortable! :)

Last night, I crawled and I mean that every bit. CRAWLED into bed. :) I had a big hike day planned with some prayer and Bible study.

This TINY HOME is the cutest.  To see a little more check out yesterday's post.

Nighty Night...

Well, that was fast... and truly just like that... that is what my night felt like. I woke up a few times and didn't sleep the best but that is every night of my life lately. :)

This window with no curtain greeted me. I literally can roll over and touch it. :) TINY HOME is the really TINY!

Let's CRAWL out of this bed and get dressed. Get some hot cocoa and check out the GOATS and CREEK!

I THINK THEY ARE EXCITED TO SEE ME! Or MAYBE it is the TREATS I was bringing. :)

HAHA! It is all about the treats you all!!!

Moving on.... it was time for a good hike after some Quiet Time with the Lord.

This was probably one of the prettiest and cleanest Nature Preserves I have ever been to. I have been to A LOT!!!! I was the only one there when I arrived. I got my mace, knife, and BEAR SPRAY.... and headed out on the trail.

I use an app called AllTrails to review trails, gps coordinates, and to download trail maps. I send a text to my family where I am and then I call (if I have service) my mom and start hiking until I am comfortable (this is only if it is a new trail and place) usually about 5-10 minutes or until my cell service drops. I just like making sure someone knows where I am and what all I see and etc. in case of an ER.

Usually, AllTrails is pretty accurate with lengths and rating of difficulty with trails BUT every now and then it can be off and what do you know... IT WAS OFF TODAY!!! The length of the trail was almost a mile more than stated and was more moderately difficult than moderate easy to moderate as stated. :)

Even after the hike I checked the Hiking information board (SHOULD HAVE DID THAT BEFOREHAND) and it was very off than what the app said.

Anyway.... I did survive BUT I was WIPED out and it was a hard trail for me. Lots of elevation gain, switchbacks, rocks, creek crossings, and down trees. But I enjoyed it. :) Even though I felt my lungs were going to collapse... sarcasm... or maybe not. :)

I was EVER SO THANKFUL for this random bench halfway on a lookout over a creek. OHHHH.... I was so thankful!!!!! HAHA!

It is still pretty winter looking here and it was cooler for sure. I have soooo many pictures, but I am heading to bed!!! I loved this picture of the creek winding through the woods.

Until next time...

With Love,

Chrissy T

  1. You surely are an adventurer Chrissy. I could never hike by myself. Kudos to you being able to do it. That loft in the tiny house really was tight, but cute. Glad the goats liked their treats. Janice

  2. Oh wow! It looks like a really cute place to stay but I don't think I could sleep so close to the ceiling!
The hike again looks wonderful, that is a good idea calling someone so they know where you are.

  3. Sweet friend, I could not love this more! I love that you went by yourself. Such an important thing for moms, especially those in our chapter. Thanks for the inspiration!

    1. You definitely should! I have discovered in my age that I really do like my own company the most. :) LOL

  4. Wow! I am so glad you made it to the tiny house on a goat farm!! And am so impressed with how brave and adventurous you are! I would not be able to do it but I admire those who can! You will probably sleep well after that hike:)

    1. Well, I wish I would have but I didn't. SIGH! Maybe one day I will sleep again. :)
Yeah, I will say in all honesty, I am very nervous about going when I go. I get sick to my stomach sometimes considering going off by myself. But I also get tired of not being able to go and do things I enjoy because I really do not have people that can go with me often and my hubby doesn't have interest in these things. So, I face my fears most of the time and go. I truly never ever regret it. BUT there are times my fear wins and I cancel and I skip trips and hikes.

  5. We use Alltrails too; I love that app (when it's accurate, but you are correct in that it isn't always!). Yay you made it. I kind of love those hikes that push me and make me grumble and hate it because when I am done I feel SO accomplished!

    1. Yes, I was soooo wishing toward the end for the parking lot. But once I got to my car I felt so accomplished!

  6. What a great idea to have that app on your phone and to keep folks back home updated with where you are. So glad that you were able to get out and do something that you love doing.

    1. Thank you so much. Oh, yes, I try to be very smart about letting someone know where I am. Even if something (hopefully it never will) does happen at least they know my last known location.

  7. Such sweet personal time for beauty and solitude. What a beautiful area and trail. And I can't get enough of those adorable goats!! 😍 If I didn't live on the water I would have wanted to live in the country and have a hobby farm with goats and chickens. Have a blessed weekend ahead! xo

    1. I love water!!! I love it all. But the Lord has me in the suburb, so I just embrace it and get a fix by visiting and exploring little areas like that. :) BUT if he ever so leads me otherwise... I am gone!! LOL

  8. Oh my goodness! You really are the adventurer! The hike looks beautiful, but yes, I can imagine how exhausting it must've been. I'm glad you are young! I don't know that I could've made it back! I'm glad you are having a good time, but I have a feeling your BIG house and bed with high ceilings and bathroom close by will look really good when you get back home...well, maybe a new appreciation for them, but you will still have enjoyed your stay I am sure. It sounds like a lot of fun. Thank you for taking us along!!
