Hello friends! I am skipping my normal Tuesday Tea Post today. I thought I would share TEN RANDOM THINGS ABOUT ME!! Just in case you don't know...
ONE- I love all things cozy and pretty, but I also love to rough it and get dirty in the woods or outside!! Picture a classy, dressed lady and hiking boots. Yep....that would some me up! LOL!
Me on a Friday!
Me two days later!
THREE- I LOVE to walk! I have not walked as much these past few months due to weather, but I try to get out at least once or twice a week in the winter and then daily or at least 5 times a week in the warmer weather. I walk 5K races yearly. I did 5 last summer. I aim to do one or two a year. I do not do them to win. I do them for activity, motivation to continue to walk daily, and for fun.
This one above I completed last July and it was SCORCHING HOT. I wear a neck fan to help me stay cool as I have had a mild heat stroke in the past and two bad cases of heat exhaustion both causing me to go to the doctor and one in the hospital.
These were my two top favorite ones out of the five in 2025. I also try to beat my time every race and aim to never be last. :) So, far I have done that.
FOUR- I collect National Park Passport Stamps and State Park Passport Stamps (if the state does them) It is something my mom does and she got me doing it three years ago. Now, we encouraged my daughter Hannah to do it. We love visiting parks all over and collecting a stamp. I love visiting parks!!!!!!! These are pictures from 2025! I am looking forward to this year's adventures.
FIVE- My mom and I take a yearly outdoors trip. We hit up several state parks and neat sites all throughout her home state of Arkansas. Arkansas has some of the cleanest and nicest state parks with beautiful scenery. It is known as the natural state in the US and it is THAT!

How lovely to learn more about you!
The difference in you between when you were hiking and in a pretty dress two days later did make me chuckle. I didn't know your husbands name until now. You have to tell the story about how you met. Good job with your 5K walks! The state park visits sound fantastic and a wonderful tradition.
I've never heard about those park stamps. What a great idea! And I love that you take trips with your mom, such good times and memories for both of you.
Nice getting to you know. Always nice to meet another walker. :). Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting. I'll be back. :)
Hi Chrissy, beautiful photos. You and Derrick both look amazing.
I don't collect anything. Wait, I do...but it is nothing physical. I collect memories.
I love walks in nature and I collect my good memories in my mind.
Thank you so much for sharing. ❤️
Ha! Thank Kim. Yeah, I got to thinking I don't think I have even mentioned my hubby's name the other day!!!! LOL!!!!
Yes, I treasure the trips.
Happy K!! Thank you for visiting!!!!
Linda,
Yes, there is really like collecting memories!!!! I love it, too!
Nice to meet more of you. What fun experiences you share with your mom. I am not sure if my mom will be able to go on our yearly trip anymore and it saddens me. Janice
Janice,
I know that has to be a difficult season in you are in with your mom. Bless you.
I love this post. Spot on for you and Derrick. Great pics too! I sure do enjoy our trips together and collecting the stamps. Memories made! Love you much, Mom

love you!
Hi Chrissy, Fun to learn about your! I love national parks so much! I visited many out west as a child and have been to several with my now family. I love that you are dressy and love to get out there in nature... same with me! Another same... walking! I adore it - even in CT in the winter I'm out there. For me it's about the fresh air and movement. So good for my mental health. Thanks for sharing. Have a lovely night Chrissy!
Thank you, Tara!! I agree... walking has been a life saver for me mentally.
#1 sounds like me too. I never in a million years thought I'd be an outdoorsy/ hiker but I really do love it. I'm not a camper though. I only like day hikes then having a cozy bed and shower to return to.
You met your husband at a stop light?? Now that is a first. Would love to hear that story some day. I used to collect more things but have really pared that down. I do still enjoy collecting sheep:)
Haha! I may share ONE day! :)
