Good day friends. I have to be honest; I have nothing whatsoever profound to share today. :) BUT I love celebrating the little joys of life!!! With that being said, Wednesday was a good day. I didn't sleep well the night before, so I slept in a tad. I had my monthly lunch with our daughter, Hannah. She works about 25 minutes away at an Orthodontist office. There are a lot of options to eat and shop around in the city she works in compared to my "city."
We went to Panera. It is really "OUR" place. I got my favorite soup, Chicken and Wild Rice. It is delicious. Hannah always chooses the bread bowl with Broccoli and Cheddar Soup. I got their blueberry muffin to go for my afternoon teatime. :)
It really is my favorite blueberry muffin on the planet so far. :) I love it so much. I do not get it often, but I always get it to go and have it for an afternoon treat. IT IS THE LITTLE THINGS!! Is it not?
DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL TREAT? SOMETHING THAT YOU ALLOW YOURSELF TO HAVE EVERY SO OFTEN? I am curious?????
I did get this lovely new piece for $15 it was on sale. There was one left. I also collect church artwork and pieces. AND....I was looking for a piece like this for this spot. I don't really like to purchase things JUST because. I want it to be something that I have been really looking for or have a purpose. Anyway, as a homemaker I do like to make our home special and cozy and I try to find things on sale or thrifted or FREE on the side of the road. I cannot tell you how much treasure I have found that someone puts out for free. I have found many things that has been a beautiful addition to our home.
Anyway..... I hope you all have a beautiful end of the week ahead. I have a Minister and Pastor's Wives Conference starting tonight. I am not sure how much I will get to post or visit all of you that I visit. I will try my best.
Until next time....

How wonderful you spend eating out with your daughter on a monthly basis. Panera is a treat. My treat is an Ice Capp at Tim Hortons. A nice piece for your home. Hobby Lobby can be dangerous...I know. Janice
What a nice day you had! I like Panera too and enjoy their French Onion Soup.
I love your new art work!
Have a good time at the conference.
What a lovely lunch with your daughter!
My favourite treat has to be a sweet treat of some sort, I can't decide what though. I've just had a delicious lemon muffin but I am partial to a chocolate brownie!
That artwork is beautiful and a bargain for $15.
Wow that is such a pretty piece of wallart - for 15 dollars!! Hooray..and it looks lovely there. What a treat to yourself. Along with that blueberry muffin. I don't think I have ever had one of their blueberry muffins. But, we are going to Panera for lunch today. Well, what do you know?? I'm looking forward to a muffin now!:)
Dear Chrissy, the quote is wonderful and so true.
You had a great day, I am so happy 😊 for you ❤️
I love chicken and rice soup. I also love onion soup au gratin.
I love your artwork.
It's probably a good thing we don't have a Hobby Lobby very close to us, OR a Panera Bread! I can see that I would be oft tempted to go astray if they were! LOL. I DO love Blueberry Muffins, and used to bake them frequently to have with tea. I haven't done so in a while, so now I am looking forward to blueberry season and muffins again! The painting of the church is very lovely, and I can see why you'd like it. I would too! Oh, how nice that you can attend a minister and pastor's wives confererence! I used to LOVE to go to those and spend time with other Pastor's Wives, encouraging one another and sometimes commiserating with each other...trying to lift each other up. The role of a minister's wife is often very lonely even though she may be very busy and with people a lot...it's not often she can be "just herself" and feel like she is in a safe place to be just herself. It's good if you can find one true and loyal friend who understands who you really are and allows you to be that person, and not try to keep you on that proverbial pedestal of being "the perfect pastor's wife". I trust you understand what I mean. I always looked for that one person at our churches we pastored that would allow me to be myself without standing in "judgement" or being a gossip behind my back. They are difficult to find, and when you do, be thankful and and hold on to her...she's like a precious jewel!
I hope you are having a wonderful time!! I will look forward to hearing all about it!!
You might not believe this, but I had not set foot in Hobby Lobby until December 2025! (I had purchased from them online, though.) It always seemed overwhelming to me. I have friends who need to look at every.single.aisle in a store like that and I am just not a shop till you drop type person. But I was looking for something specific and my daughter suggested Hobby Lobby, so my hubby and I braved it. Since then, we've been in several times, most recently to take a painting in to be framed. Being there with my hubby was much less threatening than going with friends.
As for a treat, well, this sounds silly but a grocery store bakery muffin, especially the raisin bran variety. I might have one of those per year, if that.
I love how you share everyday things too. Sometimes they are the most special. ;) Love that you meet your daughter like that. I love panera and my favorite little treat there is their orange scone. Heaven! My daughter actually turned me on to them. Lol Love the print you chose and Hobby Lobby is another fave. Blessings on your weekend ahead dear Friend. xo
I love that quote Chrissy ... & I love your new artwork - it is beautiful & looks perfect in that spot.
Hello, my friend! That was a wonderful purchase, and it looks perfect in that spot! I am so happy you had a nice lunch date with your daughter. We love Panera! I like the half sandwich and cup of potato soup. As for a special treat? Mine is my afternoon coffee.I have a cup every afternoon and I look forward to it every day. Unlike my morning coffee, this is Maxwell House International Hazelnut Instant coffee. And I love it! Have a cozy evening!
PS - I had that blueberry muffin yesterday! YUM...thanks for a great suggestion!!
I love Panera Bread but my husband doesn't so I don't get there often. That picture from Hobby Lobby is beautiful! I so agree with you that Hobby Lobby is dangerous! :)
It really is dangerous. LOL!!!!!
Thank you Julie
