Easter Weekend Recap 2026

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a good Easter Weekend. I wanted to share some memories on here.

Our daughter and I at church in the youth area.

We had a breakfast fellowship at church this morning. Each family brought a dish to share.
I made little sausages wrapped in bacon and baked in brown sugar.

After our church service we did a candy rain for the children. My hubby climbed up to throw candy. He is scared of heights, so this was extra brave of him. He is in the suit.

After church we headed home and started our lunch. We had ham, roasted turkey breast, homemade mac and cheese, skillet green beans, dressing (my daughter's boyfriend made) and rolls. I made banana pudding for dessert.

Here is my table setting for this year. The Hyacinth smells fantastic. I purchased a little pot for $10.00 of them and planted them in my crystal fruit bowl and added moss for a little more touch.

I have two doors in my dining room and to make the wreaths on them springier because I really didn't want to buy new ones, I purchased some fabric to add a little touch.

Here is a little snapshot of the garland I made for church.

I hope you all have a lovely day.

With Love,

Chrissy T

  2. It looks like you had a great day. I love the family picture - you all look great! It was brave of your hubby to climb up there, I'm not a fan of heights and wouldn't like that either.
Your table and wreaths are beautiful!

  3. Chrissy - looks like a lovely Easter! The menu sounds so yummy and everything looks so spring-y!! You looked pretty as well. I have never heard of a candy rain but I am sure that was a hit! Kudos to your hubby for braving the roof for the children!! Hope you have a great week ahead!

    1. It was a hit!! We have little places to do an "egg hunt" due to our church set up. So, this was a good alternative.

  4. Your Easter table is lovely, Chrissy. The fresh hyacinth is a nice touch. I like your plates too, they look so springy. I've always loved blue in the home, so this spoke to me right away. The candy rain looks fun for the kids, and what a sweet picture of you and your daughter. I wish you a blessed week.

  9. Oh Chrissy! Your table looks so beautiful! I love those dishes! And where did you get your wonderful little Empty Tomb display? That is a very nice one, complete with angels and people! My son builds those, but not with the people. Very nice! You and your family look wonderful. I'm sorry I haven't been visiting as much here lately. I've been really busy this past week/weekend, but hopefully things will get back to normal soon, although tomorrow we have to travel 1 hour + away to see eye specialists...both of us...re: possible cataract surgery for me, and my hubby has another eye issue that they are monitoring. So that will take most of tomorrow...and then there are other appointments this week, so I may not be quite as active here this week either. But I try to visit in snippets as I find a moment here and there between things. I love the idea of a church breakfast fellowship! That looks great! We used to do that when we had a sunrise service on Easter. I hope you have a blessed and beautiful week. I love your flower arrangements, wreaths, etc. too...everything looks so elegant!
