Hello Friends!!! I am so excited to share my past Tea experience with you. This past Saturday my "Tea Friend" and I traveled to Hattiesburg, MS, to Ross Mansion Bed & Breakfast for their annual Valentine's Tea. We had such a lovely time. THE FOOD was FANTASTIC!!! So.... hold on because we have A LOT of pictures!!! Here we goooo....
I can't imagine what this lovely place will look like in the spring. It has a carriage house and gardens. We didn't really look around because it was pretty cold and truly it was all barren.
They used the same sign to greet us as last year, but I love it and it is so welcoming!
My friend and I before we headed indoors. Now, you will notice in a lot of my pictures on my blog I am wearing sunglasses. FOR one.... they are a part of my wardrobe. :) Two- I have extremely sensitive eyes! (Fun Fact)
Our table for two!!! There were around 25 people at this Tea throughout the many rooms of the house. All random strangers to us. This time our tables were all separate, we didn't get to mingle this time.
Our napkins were made into a "Valentine" and sealed. Inside of it was a vintage postcard for a gift. I loved this!!!!!
Okay!!! Let's talk food! It was the BEST food we have had a Tea. Last year's food was very good too. But they topped their game this year.

Oh, how utterly divine and lovely!!! What a beautiful setting for the tea party! Everything looks exactly like it ought to look for such a beautiful occasion! And YOU look lovely in your pretty special "tea dress". The food/menu looks scrumptious, and I do love the pretty little teacup that was at your table setting. I love the goblets for your water as well! Exquisite!! I am sorry that you weren't feeling quite up to par, but I'm so happy you didn't have to miss this beautiful even with your tea buddy friend. If I lived nearby I would definitely want to be one of your tea buddies! We really don't have such lovely places here nearby, although there is a tea room in the next town over that I haven't explored yet. I need to find the right "tea buddy" to go with me. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Yes, I would've loved this! Would love to see that mansion when the flowers are blooming too!! Will they have another tea time during the summer months? It's a shame they do it when it's not at its prime, but I do understand about the Valentine's Day event. This was so lovely. Thank you!!!! I feel almost like I was there with you, but I am still in my old house clothes drinking my morning cup of Lipton tea before we go for our lab tests this morning. No sugar allowed. Probably not supposed to drink tea either, but one cup won't affect it much. LOL.
ReplyDeleteWellll...if I am in your area ever we need to find us a tea room and we can go!!!! :) It was lovely!!!
DeleteSo glad for you that this tea was better than the last one you attended. The tablescape was pretty! The food looked delish and am sure the teas were great too! Janice
ReplyDeleteJanice,
DeleteIt was so much better. It was very pretty!!
What a wonderful place to have tea and all the food does look fantastic! I love that you have a dress especially for the tea experiences!
ReplyDeleteThanks friend. I just need to come over to your land and really experience a true tea and daily tea!!!
Deleteooooh how wonderful, i could instantly feel your excitement. it also helped that you spoke so fondly of it yesterday...i was excited to visit!! this is so lovely, LOVED the napkin with the postcard, what an unexpected surprise. i once went to a similar tea at christmas time, and they had a play that included live singing. i really enjoyed it BUT my favorite part was the food!! cucumber sandwiches and egg salad are my favorites. i really enjoyed the images, what a pretty place!! we don't have many of these "tea" places in this area!!
ReplyDeleteIt really was such a needed treat in the middle of winter!!!!!!
DeleteWhat a fantastic post, Chrissy! I love tea!!! Your photos are absolutely gorgeous and very heartwarming. I love the floral top you are wearing, you look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThe dishes with the flowers are elegant, the menu looks inviting and scrumptious! The decor and ambiance are fantastic!
Although I have always loved tea, I have never been to a place for a formal tea such as this. And we do have them here in Montreal!
The Queen Elizabeth Hotel is top notch, from what I have been told...and perhaps the most expensive, but people who have had tea there tell me it is worth the time and money.
My favourite tea is Earl Grey, but I also love black tea (English breakfast).
Looking at the menu from the tea sandwiches to the hors d'oeuvres to the sweet treats...everything thing sounds absolutely scrumptious!
You have made my day with this post, dear friend, and I am so happy to see that others love tea as much as I do!
Hello Linda!! Thank you!! I love a good English Breakfast Tea. It is simply my favorite. I do love this Indigo Punch Tea after heavier tea food like soup and salad. I would love to go the Queen Elizabeth's Hotel!!!!!
DeleteJust beautiful! Beautiful daughter! Love you, Mom
ReplyDeleteThanks mom! Love you
DeleteOh My Chrissy!!! I am peering so closely at my computer screen at your wonderful photos - that looked like such an amazing high tea. I just adore the way they have set the tables too & the food is out of this world. I would be delighted to attend such a function - how very special. ♥️
ReplyDeleteWe had a wonderful time!!! I am thankful to have the experience.
DeleteWhat a totally charming place! We used to have a tea shop in our town, but it closed years ago. Boo. I miss it, especially now seeing yours! Your dress is darling, too! So cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Kim!!!! I wish I had one closer but I am thankful this was one is not too far of a drive.
